Now, indeed, while the circumstances that weigh my heart so, and yet free me to write you, seem so very dire and dark, they also speak of God's wonderful and merciful Sovereignty. I had the joy to be encouraged and exhorted by a godly pastor in this dark hour who reminded me that times such as these will try our belief in God's Holy Word; in God's very Sovereignty. My dad has said as much also many a time that we must have faith in that God is working Sovereignly in our hard times. If we truly believe in God's Sovereignty, then we will know that God not only allows bad things in our lives, but verily brings them according to His preordaination. In short, he planned for this tragic incident in my life. Why, you ask. I don't know and we don't always know why God does so and so and such and such, but who are we, oh man, that we challenge God!? Rather, instead of trying to justify God or find purpose for our difficulties like a puffed up Job, we should look for the right and good in these circumstances. We should ask ourselves, How we can grow from our circumstances? What has the Lord taught us? How can I use this new found brokenness in the glory of God. So in the end, we praise a mighty and loving God! Thus we look beyond the horizon to the Cross!

I'm very sorry to hear about it Brother, yet glad that the Lord is working all things in your life for a reason. I too know from personal experience this past year, that times can be extremely dark and sad, yet we are most blessed in having a loving, Sovereign God in control from begininng to end. Praise the Lord for your singing His praises in it all.
